FAQs
I don't know what I want, can you help?
When customers come to Digital Homedia, most don't know exactly what they want, let alone what is available in today's bewildering market. However, all of them know what kind of activities, such as focused music listening or casual TV watching, they enjoy and what their circumstances are. Digital Homedia can then design a system that is suitable for the activities and caters for the circumstances. Digital Homedia is not affiliated to any particular equipment manufacturer and can therefore provide independent advice when recommending systems and solutions.
What is this Digital Media all about?
Modern technologies for the home cover all aspects of Audio/Visual and Music-in-every-Room Entertainment, Security and Internet Access. However, recent developments have shown that all these individual components are converging into all encompassing systems, providing the same functionality while being easier to use. Digital Homedia are able to integrate different resources in one home.
I want everything to be wireless, is that possible?
Even though wireless devices are widely available, the backbone of any system is still made up of a bundle of wires and long runs of cable. This is not a problem if they are incorporated at an early stage of the construction or refurbishment. At that time all the connections can be hidden, chased into the walls or disguised in the furniture.
My friend can setup all my TVs, why should I consult you?
Long gone are the days when you could buy a television set, take it home and watch your favourite programme. Today, even the simplest devices need setting-up, more complex equipment requires proper integration, custom configuration or specialist programming. If you don't want to end up with unused gadgets all over the house, talk to the experts who will make it all work for you.
What is the most important thing for my new system?
Let's not forget what it is all about. Technology in the home is not about the number of speakers, the power of your amplifier or how many TV channels you can receive. It's not about huge networks and thousands of hours of music you can store. Technology in the home is also about having fun.
